Marvin T. Castle

Marvin T. Castle age 81 passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at his home. Marvin was born on Oct. 5, 1930 to his parents the late Russell Castle and Mearl Parsons Castle. He was a retired Postal Clerk for the U.S. Post Office, a member of the Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Goood Ole boys Rods and Cruisers. Marvin also served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Along with his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Phelps. Marvin is survived by his companion, Vivian Tornero, one son, Russell "Buddy" Castle of Rocky Road, three daughters, Berita Castle of Garden Village, Margie Alger of Tn., Marilyn Kilgore of Rocky Road, one sister, Betty Coleman of Rocky Road, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Blessed Hope Freewill Baptist Church. Masonic Rites will be Wednesday at 7p.m. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday Sept. 21, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Blessed Hope Freewill Baptist Church with Tommy England, Randy Johnson, Jim Patton, & Don Lee officiating. The burial will follow in the Parsons Cemetery at Rocky Road.
