Larry R. Maggard age 61 went to walk the streets of gold, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, Tn. He was born on Nov. 12, 1950 to his parents Cora Minor and the late Chester Maggard. He was the husband of Teresa Maggard, a truck driver, and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Larry had a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles and Peter Built Trucks. Along with his wife and Mother, Larry is survived by one son, Matthew (Jessica) Maggard of Knoxville, Tn., He was the wonderful grandad of Jimi Reed Maggard and Marissa Roxanne Maggard. He is survived by one brother, Checky (Peggy) Maggard of Georgia, four sisters, Brenda (Wayne) Fleming of Ky., Sandy Johnson of Tn., Debbie Lawson of Orlando, Fl., Lana (David) Lucas of Orlando, Fl., his best friend for his entire life, Larry Tackett of Florida, a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. with Bobby Province officiating. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. with Bennie McCall officiating. The funeral will be Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Josh Huffman officiating.
