Ester Branham age 90 passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the Ashland Community Hospice Care Center. Ester was born on August 20, 1922 to her parents the late Duran Akers and Patty Elliott Akers. She was the wife of the late Ab Branham, a retired custodian for Pikeville Medical Center, and a member of the Caney Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Ester was preceded in death by her first husband, Reese Williams, second husband, Lloyd Hall, one brother, Thomas Akers, and five sisters, Lexie Younce, Nellie Burke, Pearl Holt, Marie Hall, and Myrtle Damron. Ester is survived by three sons, Bob (Doris) Williams, Everett (Karen) Williams, Lloyd Anthony (Sharon) Hall, two daughters, Glenna Tackett, Diane (Gene) Clement, one sister, Fannie (Andrew) Casebolt, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday 6p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Sam Crawford and Brent Baker officiating. The burial will follow in the Frank Tackett Cemetery at Long Fork of Virgie, Ky.
