James Marion Compton

James Marion Compton age 91,of Pikeville passed away Saturday December 1,2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. James was born July 16,1921 to his parents, the late James Madison and Della Reynolds Compton. Along with his parents James is preceded in death by his wife, Mable Meadows Compton, one brother, Willie Lee Compton four sisters, Anna Charles, Nanna England, Dorothy Billiter and Martha Maples. James is survived by one son, James Michael Compton, two sisters, Elizabeth Riddle, Marcella Huffman,three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends who love him and will miss him. Visitation will be Sunday 12-2-2012 6 pm at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday 12-4-2012 11 am at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Compton Family Cemetery at Collins.
