Lloyd Nelson Stanley

Lloyd Nelson Stanley, age 69 passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Lloyd was born on Feb. 8, 1943 to his parents the late Lloyd W. Stanley and Alta Sanders Stanley. He was the husband of Norma Belcher Stanley, a retired sales engineer for Joy Global Company, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Crowe Stanley. Along with his wife, Norma, Lloyd is survived by four sons, Nelson Thomas Stanley of Louisville, Ky., Michael Todd Stanley of Columbus, Ohio, Phillip Wayne Stanley of Columbus, Ohio, John Andrew Stanley of Independance, Ky., one sister, Jean (Billy Don) Cantrell of Hellier, Ky., twelve grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 4p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bill Staggs officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
