Martha Ann Newcomb

Martha Ann Damron Newcomb, age 68, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Martha was born on October 9, 1944 to her parents the late Rob Damron and Hattie Kiser Damron. She was the wife of Nolan Newcomb, a homemaker, and a member of the Caney Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Martha was preceded in death by one daughter, Janie Newcomb Standifur, one brother, James Damron, and one grandson, Joshua Johnson. Along with her husband, Martha is survived by one daughter, Tonya Compton, two brothers, Fred Damron, Robert Damron, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at 10a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Kermit Wright, Robbie Osborne, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
