Victor W. Moore

Victor Wilson Moore, age 90 passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Victor was born on Oct. 13, 1922 to his parents the late Edgar J. Moore and Betty Elswick Moore. He was the husband of Marietta Moore, retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and a member of the Virgie Baptist Church. Victor also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. Along with his parents, Victor was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Tackett and Ruby Childers, and one brother, Warner Moore. In addition to his wife, Victor is survived by one son, Joe Moore and his wife, Phyllis, two grandchildren, Joe and Sydney Moore, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 5p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, January 25th, 2013 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bill Blackburn officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
