Anna Ruth Chaney

Anna Ruth Chaney age 84, passed away Wednesday February 27,2013 at the Signature Nursing Home. Anna was born August 22, 1928 to her parents the late Sammy and Maudie Baldwin Short. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Calvery Baptist Church of Clintwood, VA. Along with her parents Anna was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Anna is survived by her husband Stanford Chaney, one daughter, Terrissa Hancock two sons, Donald Hancock and Frank Hancock. Four sisters, Mary Cantrell, Elizabeth Wilis, Sue Sturgill, Carolyn South, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends who love her and will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Saturday 6 p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Sunday 1 p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Short Family Cemetery at Pound, VA. Special Services will be Saturday Night at 7 p.m.
