Robert (Jack) Burke

Robert (Jack) Burke age 103, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Robert was born on Sept. 25, 1909 to his parents the late William Birchfield Burke and Louisa Burke. He was the husband of the late Millie Hall Burke, a retired coal miner, and a member of the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by one son, William Burke, three daughters, Rose Conlie, Gloria Fern, Yury Louise, three brothers and six sisters. Robert is survived by one son, Lewis Burke, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11a.m. at the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church with David Bentley, Josh Bentley, and Kevin Bowling officiating. The burial will follow in the Burke Family Cemetery.
