Jerry Adkins

Jerry Adkins age 55 of Phyllis,Ky. passed away Monday March 11,2013 at his residence. Jerry was born December 18,1957 to his parents, the late Coonie and Thorsie Adkins. He was a Coal Miner,a Church of Christ Minister and a member of the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. Along with his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by one brother, Clynard Adkins, four sisters, Mona Adkins, Liddy Adkins, Eveleyn Thacker and Lavonne Johnson. Jerry is survived by his wife, Nina "Susie" Smith Adkins, three daughters, Jaime Nichole (Jason) Mounts of Phyllis, Ky. Polley Renay (Rick) Cantrell of PawPaw, Ky. Leah Michelle (Michael) Christopher of Paris,Ky. two brothers, Leon Adkins of Steel,Ky. Gene David Adkins of Elkhorn City,Ky. three sisters, Gayrene Goff of Pikeville, Ky. Sadie Coleman of Tennessee, Judy Reynolds of Robinson Creek,Ky., four grandchildren, Issac Bradley Mounts, Isabella Dawn Mounts, Mashayla Lynn Cantrell, William M. Christopher, Jr. and a host of family and friends. visitation will be Tuesday 3-12-2013, 6 p.m. at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. Funeral will be Thursday 3-14-2013, 12 Noon at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. Special Services will be Tuesday & Wednesday Nights at 7 p.m.
