Jimmie R. Taylor

Jimmie R. Taylor, age 67, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jimmie was born on July 30, 1945 to his parents the late Boyd Hurley and Mary Stafford. He was the husband of Debbie Taylor, retired from Chrysler Corp., and an avid car collector and motorcycle enthusiast. Along with his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by two sisters. Fran Sykes and Norma Canterbury. Along with his wife, Jimmie is survived by one son Thomas McAvoy, two daughters, Debbie Garofalo, Jamie Bannerman, four brothers, Billy, Vince, & Boyd Taylor, William Labuddie, two sisters, Joyce Asfar, Betty Bice, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will also be Saturday 9a.m. to 9p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
