George Wilson Lawhorn

George Wilson Lawhorn, age 78, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV. George was born on June 20, 1934 to his parents the late Thomas H. Lawhorn and Gusta McPeek Lawhorn. He was the husband of Lorraine Thacker Lawhorn, a retired mail carrier, and a member of the Faith First Baptist Church. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines. Along with his parents, George was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Lou Coleman. In addition to his wife, George is survived by one brother, Larry Lee Lawhorn, one sister, Donna Sue Carter, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Charles Justice officiating. The burial will follow in the Sanders Cemetery at Ashcamp, Ky.
