Rosetta Lampkin

Rosetta Lynch Lampkin of Raleigh, N.C. joined her God in heaven Easter morning, March 31, 2013, at the young age of 89 years. Rose was born in Betsy Layne, KY on February 28, 1924 to William and Cora Lynch. She will be remembered for her pure and open heart, her unfailingly kind and generous spirit and her deep faith in god’s plan. Rose will be greatly missed by her family and her beloved bird, Chipper. She is survived by her loving and attentive son, Donald L. Emery Jr. and his wife Patricia A. Emery of Raleigh, NC; her granddaughter, Lisa Hargesheimer and her husband, Kent Hargesheimer of Wake Forest, NC; her great-granddaughters, Lexi and Lindsey Hargesheimer; her sisters Janet Rose of Winchester, KY, Jean Coleman of Louisville, KY, Linda Billiter of Bridgeport, WV; and her brother Kenny Lynch of Betsy Layne, KY. She was preceded in death by her sisters Alice Collins, Faye Clark, Garnet Lynch, and brother David Vaughn Lynch. A private viewing will be held for family on Friday, April 5th at 5:00pm at Lucas & Sons Funeral Home in Pikeville, KY. Family will receive friends at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6th at 11:00am at Lucas & Sons Funeral Home. Internment will be held immediately following at Davidson Memorial Gardens in Ivel, Kentucky.
