Zoomer Phillips

Zoomer Phillips, age 81, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Zoomer was bornon January 2, 1932 to her parents the late Dewey Eli Bartley and Mary Rutha Ratliff Bartley. She was the wife of the late Clyde H. Phillips, a homemaker, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Zoomer was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wayne Phillips, one brother, Olvia Bartley, and three sisters, Irene Newcomb, Christine Craig, Georgie Messer. Zoomer is survived by one daughter, Janet D. Reese,one sister, Delores McCown, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, April 15, 2013 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Family Cemetery.
