Kelsie James

Kelsie James, age 73, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Parkview Nursing Home. Kelsie was born on May 9, 1939 to her parents the late Jason Slone and Rosie Mccoy Slone. She was a homemaker and a member of the Full Gospel Christian Fellowship Ministries. Along with her parents, Kelsie was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Kelsie is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Keith) Collins of McDowell, Ky., Kathy (David) Collins of McDowell, Ky., one brother, Tunis Slone, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday April 24, 2013 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral home with Robert Justice, Billy Ratliff, and Johnny Persinger officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
