Jody Lance Phillips

Jody Lance Phillips passed from this earthly life, on May 6, 2013, in the presence of his mother, Susan and step-father Eddie at Feds Creek, Kentucky. He was 32. Jody was born June 4, 1980 at Pikeville, Ky., to his parents Susan Ball Hurley and Gary Eugene Phillips. Jody is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Betty Ball, paternal grandfather, Grayson Phillips, and step grandparents, Darrell and Beulah Hurley, special cousin, Heather Suzanne Taylor & Anissa Regina Hoffer. Jody is survived by his best friend, loving caregiver and devoted mother, Susan; his buddy and step-father Big Daddy Eddie; his father Gary Eugene Phillips and wife, Barbara. Also his paternal grandmother Agustine Davenport. Aunts and uncles; Patty and Ron Griffith, Sandra and Darrell Hurley, Donna and Neil Pugh, Rhonda Fuller and Larry and Sharon Phillips, plus a host of cousins, friends, family, and church family. Services will be held Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 7p.m. at the Kimper Church of God with Eddie Dotson officiating. The funeral will be Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 2p.m. at the Kimper Church of God. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery. Pallbearers are Larry Abshire, Randy Griffith, Ron Griffith, Joe Hoffer, Darrell Hurley, Eddie Hurley.
