Floyd Ratliff

Floyd "Buck" Ratliff of Kimper, Ky, born, May 7, 1946 passed from this life, May 18, 2013. Son of Butler and Ollie Ratliff. He worked in the coal mines for 24 years, was a member and deacon of Cedar Bottom Old Regular Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Butler and Ollie Ratliff, two sisters, Ernestine Hess and Flora Jane Bostic, one brother, Hassel Ratliff and three infant siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years JoAnn Ratliff. Also his son, Kevin (Frances) Ratliff and three grandchildren, James Michael Ratliff, Kevin Ryan Ratliff, and Heather Kristina Ratliff, three sisters, Bertha Bolden of Kimper, GayNell Fletcher of Richmond, Ky., Stella Marie Varney of Raccoon Creek, Ky., and a several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 12 noon at the Cedar Bottom Old Regular Baptist Church with A.B. Thacker and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Layne Cemetery #2.
