Phyllis Allen

Phyllis Taylor Allen age 83, passed away Friday May 24,2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Phyllis was born April 8,1930 to her parents the late Clyde Taylor, Sr. and Dorothy Scott Taylor. Phyllis was a retired School Teacher of 47 years for the Pike Co. School Board. Phyllis was a member of the North Lexington Church of Christ and former member of Pikeville Main Street Church of Christ. Along with her parents Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Curtis T. Allen and one son Curtis T. "Buddy" Allen,II. Phyllis is survived by one daughter, Sharon Kay Allen of Lexington, Ky. Fluffy-her puppy, Tina Mareno- Special Caregiver, one sister, Ann T. (Robert C.) McKinney of Pikeville,Ky. two brothers, Clyde Taylor, Jr. of Pikeville, Ky., Billy Joe (Edna Fern) Taylor of Lexington, Ky. several nieces,nephews,great nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be held on Saturday May 24,2013 from 6 to 10p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Josh Allen and Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
