Bonnie Cora Thompson Burchett, age 77, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Bonnie was born on Feb. 2, 1936 to her parents the late Frank Thompson and Opal White Thompson. She was the wife of James A. Burchett, retired from the Pike County Solid Waste Dept., and a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church. Along with her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by one brother, Dan Thompson, and three sisters, Doris Hall, Jeanette Jessie, and Betty Jo Stacy. In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by one son, Stephen (Angie) Burchett of Pikeville, two daughters, Danita Sullivan of Pikeville, Mia (Greg) McCoy of Pikeville, one sister, Christine Condron of Texas, five grandchildren, Paula (Ron) Murphy, Heather Sullivan, Paul David (Beth) Sullivan, Joshua Sullivan, Ross McCoy, four great grandchildren, Owen, Madyson, Kori, and Kamron, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, June 7, 2013 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Steve Knisley and Fred Klatka officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
