Edison Bowling, age 75, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at his home. Edison was born on Feb. 22, 1938 to his parents the late Dell Bowling and Mable Kilgore Bowling. He was the husband of the late Martha Stepp Bowling, retired from GM Factory in Detroit, Mi., and a believer of the freewill baptist Faith. Along with his wife and parents, Edison was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Danny Bowling, and three sisters, Mary West, Ruby Hopkins, and Ollie Hopkins. Edison is survived by one daughter, Gwendolyn Bowling of Mi., two sisters, Anna Waylon, Joette Pauley, three brothers, Dudley Bowling, William Bowling, and Billy Bowling, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 1p.m. at the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Estil Mullins, Chris Bartley, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Bowling Cemetery.
