Gregory A Damron

Gregory A. Damron, age 59, of Sookeys Creek, passed away on July 22, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 24, 1953, the son of the late Oscar Damron, Jr. and Nellie Joyce Johnson Damron. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sheila M. Hall Damron. Before his retirement, Greg was a high lineman for AEP and was a member of the Jubilee Christian Assembly of God. He is survived by a daughter, Heather (Todd) Smith of Pikeville, by a son, Gregory Chad (Liz) Damron of Pikeville, by two brothers, Danny (Brenda) Damron and Jim (Diana) Damron, both of Pikeville, by a sister, Dee Dee (Doug) Brewer of Pikeville and by two granddaughters, Dailey and Parker. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Roger Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
