Wanda Thacker

Wanda Berniece Coleman Thacker, 82 of Lexington, S.C., passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at her home. She was born March 18, 1931 at Pikeville, Kentucky. Wanda was the daughter of the late John L. and Maude Swiney Coleman Thacker. She was a retired nurse for Dr. Sowards office and the member of the Grace Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Jean Hampton and two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband Jack Thacker; three sons: Howard K. Thacker and his wife Gloria; Jack Thomas Thacker and his wife Gail; Dewayne Thacker and his wife Willa; two daughters: Janet Thomas Mullins and her husband Mitch and Melinda Humphrey; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. Wanda is also survived by one brother Robert Coleman and three sisters Bessie Baker, Tiny Hopkins and Frances McDonald and Thirteen grandchildren and Twenty Three great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation for Wanda Berniece Thacker will be 6:00PM Saturday at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with church services held Sunday Evening at 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00PM with Danny Neal officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, Ky.
