Jeanette Pruitt, age 78, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the U.K. Medical Center. Jeanette was born on Dec. 9, 1934 to her parents the late Mitchell Keens and Tressie Collins. She was the wife of the late Eugene Pruitt, a retired cook for Pike County Jail, and a member of the Ford's Branch Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by one son, Steve Pruitt, and one brother, Ray Keens. Jeanette is survived by one daughter, Frankie (Frank) Young of Piney Flatts, Tn., three sons, Ferlin Pruitt of Robinson Creek, Mike (Karen) Pruitt of Lexington, Ky., Woody (Tammy) Pruitt of Cowpen, Ky., two brothers, Paul Collins and Tommy Collins both of Drift, Ky., seven grandchildren, Dusty Mullins, Danielle (Travis) Stepp, Nick Pruitt, Lindsey Pruitt, Shanna (David) Branham, Kolt Pruitt, and Kassady Pruitt, two step great grandchildren, Kaden & Kent, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Sammy Casebolt officiating. The burial will follow in the Ford's Branch Cemetery.
