Patricia V. Adkins

Patricia V. Adkins, age 76, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 peacefully and quietly in her home with family. Our faith tells us she is home with God and our Saviour. As well knowing, she will be happy seeing her husband, brother, and mother. Patricia was born on August 6, 1937 to her parents the late Wayne Francis and Elsie Hurley Francis. She was the wife of the late Jess H. Adkins, and a homemaker. Along with her husband and parents, Patricia was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Hurley, special niece, Elizabeth Roberts, and one special nephew, John Wayne McCoy. Patricia is survived by one daughter, Terry Beard, two grandsons, Jesse Allen Adkins and Robin Marshall, one great-grandchild, McKenna Marie Adkins, nine brothers and sisters, Dalton (Annett) Francis, Joe (Judy) Francis, Jimbob (Bonnie) Francis, Rebecca Kay (the late David) Thacker, Glenna (Junior) McCoy, Skipper (Terrylynn) Francis, Michael (Monica) Hurley, Tomi (Pete) Vanoy. Special thanks to her sister, Rebecca Kay for helping take care of her and Hospice of the Bluegrass, and the nurses and doctors on 6 east at Pikeville Medical Center, may God's blessings bestow you. The family will have a private family service.
