Cleo Sanders Bailey

Cleo Sanders Bailey, 93, of Hellier died Friday September 20,2013. She was born at Hellier May 5,1920, the daughter of the late Nelse and Eliza Mullins Sanders. She was a retired teacher, having taught at Hellier High School, Millard High School, and Big Rock Virginia. She had taught for a total of 39 years. She was a member of the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church, Ky and Pike Co. Retired Teachers Assn., Anna O. Young Order of the Eastern Star, and was also a Kentucky Colonel. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Bailey, two brothers, and six sisters. She is survived by her son, George H. Bailey II and daughter in law, Letha C. Bailey. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home on Sunday 9-22-2013 from one till nine p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church on Monday 9-23-2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
