Hassel "Johnny" Bryant

Hassel Jr. "Johnny" Bryant age 66 passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Hassel was born on May 17, 1947 to his parents the late Hassel Bryant and Vassie Bryant. He was the husband of Barbara Robinson Bryant, a retired coal miner for Old Federal Mining Company, and a believer of the Church of God Faith. Along with his parents, Hassel was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude Bryant and Arlan Bryant and one sister, Thelma Bryant. Along with his wife, Hassel is survived by one son, Rodney Bryant, two daughters, Jamie (Emmett) Bugg, Robin Thacker, two brothers, Troy Bryant and James "Baldy" Bryant, four sisters, Helen Sue "Carolyn" Coleman, Inez Sykes, Joy Stewart, Mable Epling, five grandchildren, Ashley and Aleshia Coleman, Bryan, Brandon, and Michael Thacker, and a host of loving family and friends. Visition will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services Monday at 7p.m. Jimmy Dale Sanders and others officiating. Church services Tuesday 7 p.m. Richard Gibson and others officiating. The funeral will be Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Dale Sanders and others officiating. Burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery.
