Aubrey Kenneth Smith

Aubrey Kenneth Smith,a ge 73, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at his home. Aubrey was born on Feb. 15, 1940 to his parents the late Prince Smith and Hattie Marcum Smith. He was the husband of Wilma Lee Smith, a groundsman electrical worker for R.H. Bouligny Electrical Company, and he also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Along with his parents, Aubrey was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Ann Smith. In addition to his wife, Aubrey is survived by two brothers, Woody Smith and Winston Smith, three sisters, M. Joyce Smith, Lois Smith Blackburn, M. Janet Smith Robinson, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Shawn D. Slone and James Orrison officiating. The burial will follow in the Henry Taylor Cemetery.
