William Perry May age 70, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Perry was born on June 19, 1943 to his parents the late Richard Wade May and Myrtle Adkins May. He was the husband of Glynea Varney May,married for 51 years in September, a retired coal miner for McCoy Elkhorn Coal Company, and a member of the Edo Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Perry was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Anderson, Ruby Presley, two brothers, Paul Richard May, Johnny May, one granddaughter, Nicole Barnett. In addition to his wife, Perry is survived by one son, Perry Dwayne (Linda) May, two daughters, Carolyn Bridget (Rocky) Barnett, Jennifer Denise (Michael) Raines, two sisters, Linda Paige Justice, Bonnie Varney, two brothers, Bobby Andrew May, Danny May, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Edo Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. at the Edo Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at 1p.m. at the Edo Freewill Baptist Church with Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel.
