Rose Ann Taylor

Rose Ann Smith Taylor, age 60, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at her home. Rose was born on Oct. 06, 1953 to her parents the late Monroe Smith and Mary Jane Ball Smith. She was the wife of James J. Taylor, a retired teacher for Duval County Schools, and a member of the Church of God. Along with her parents, Rose was preceded in death by one sister, Phillis Kirk, one brother, James David Smith, three half brothers, Ed Smith, Lee Smith, and Quincy Smith. Along with her husband, Rose is survived by one daughter, Paula Taylor Maynard, five sisters, Lou Weddle, Mary Ann Landsaw, Terrie Blair, Tammy Smith, Trish Warren, two brothers, Darrel Smith, Mike Smith, two grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 6p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with John McCoy and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery at Big Rock, Va.
