Gareth Blake Belcher

Gareth Blake Belcher, age 75, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Gareth was born on June 25, 1938 to his parents the late Johnny Belcher and Ruby Pat Belcher Belcher. Gareth was the husband of Frances Ford Belcher, employee for Belcher Refrigeration, and a member of the Church of Christ. Gareth also served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Chap. 140 Elkhorn City, D.A.V. Along with his wife, Gareth is survived by two daughters, Julia Belcher and Melissa Welch, three grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, & Debra Wike, and one great-grandchild, Landon Wike, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Billy Ford and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Ford's Branch Cemetery.
