Eva Adkins Burke

Eva Adkins Burke, age 79, of Rockhouse, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at her residence. She was born on November 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Elzie Hill and Mae and Jim Adkins Hylton. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a son, Henry Adkins, by a brother, Ruben Hill, by a sister, Clotine Hylton, by a brother-in-law, Adam Adkins, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Maxine Hill. Eva was a homemaker and was a member of the Rockhouse Unity Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Herbert Wayne (Marlene) Adkins, by two daughters, Delonna Sue (Millard) Delauder and Robin Renee (Olis) Ramey, all of Rockhouse, KY, by four brothers, Leroy Hill of Defiance, OH, Bud Ray Hill of Uniontown, OH, Ray Hylton of Akron, OH, and Kermel Hylton of Rockhouse, KY, by four sisters, Geneva Hylton of Rockhouse, KY, Lorean Adkins of Marrowbone, KY, Eloise Rowe and Nella Stanley, both of Rockhouse, KY, by ten grandchildren, Twenty-One great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 after 6 p.m. at the Rockhouse Unity Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Rockhouse Unity Freewill Baptist Church with Darrell Harmon, Mike Coleman, Delon Jones and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Sunday and Monday nights at 7 p.m.
