Virginia Lynn Thacker

Virginia Lynn Thacker, age 65, of Pikeville, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013, at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born on April 29, 1948, the daughter of the late James C. and Virginia Droddy Varney. Virginia was a homemaker and attended the First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, John W. Thacker, by a daughter, Jennifer Megan (Ron) Diddle of Pikeville, by a son, Kevin Thomas Thacker of New York, New York, by two sisters, Patricia Gail (Nick) Nerney of Greenville, Road Island and Kay Booth of Beckley, WV, by a brother, James Franklin (Nancy) Varney of Proctorville, OH, by two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Renee Diddle and Adrienne Marie Diddle and by two step grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel Diddle. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with David Collier officiating.
