Lola Wallace

Lola Irene Wallace 87, of Pikeville, KY, passed away Saturday December 21, 2013 at the Signature Nursing Home in Pikeville, KY. She was born January 15, 1926 in Pikeville, KY. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Sarah Jane Hinkle Young. Lola was a nurse aid at the Pikeville Methodist Hospital as well as the Mountain Manor Nursing Home and a member of the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtice J. Wallace, one daughter: Nancy J. Blackburn, four sisters: Viola Fields, Izola Ray, America Sesco, and Oma McCown. Lola is survived by two sons: Rodney Little and his wife Jan, Curtis M. Wallace and his wife Marcia, Two Daughters: Etta Hughes and her husband William, Susan Kirk and her husband Randy, One brother: Roger V. Young, and five sisters: Ocie "Peggy" Young, Ola Tackett, Wyzona Kinney, Sue Branham, Carrol Hall, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home Sunday at 6 pm with services held Sunday and Monday at 7pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with David Bentley officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E Young Cemetery.
