Violet Ramsey Rowe

Violet Ramsey Rowe, age 98, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 at her home. Violet was born on Aug. 13, 1915 to her parents the late Joe B. Ramsey and Florence Gray. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Gladis Rowe, a retired school teacher for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Buckfield Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Violet was preceded in death by one son, Larry Kent Rowe. Violet is survived by one daughter, Annie (Paul) Marrs, two grandsons, Larry Rowe & Kevin Marrs, two great grandchildren, Kyla Bree Marrs, Ryan Rowe, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tommy DeHart and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery.
