Scotty Derry

Scotty Derry, age 67, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Scotty was born on May 24, 1946 to his parents the late James Edward Derry and Dolly Childers Derry. He was the husband of Carol Hurley Derry, retired from road construction, and a member of the Pikeville Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Scotty was preceded in death by his twin brother, Bobby Derry. Along with his wife, Scotty is survived by one daughter, Cathy Lynn Derry of Shelbiana, one brother, Michael Derry of Rockhouse, half brother, Robert Derry of Kingsport, Tn., and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jim Patton and Don Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
