Howard Hall, age 94, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at his home. Howard was born on Jan. 13, 1920 to his parents the late Thomas H. Hall and Nellie Jane Coleman Hall. He was the husband of the late Flossie Yates Hall, a retired teacher/principal for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. Along with his wife and parents, Howard was preceded in death by two brothers, James Hall and Buford Hall, and two sisters, Nerva Compton, Lillian Keathley. Howard is survived by one son, Dan (Judy) Hall, two daughters, Glenna (Bill) Stacy, Frances (Jerry) Justice, one sister, Emogene DeHarve, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
