Wilma Adkins age 83 passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Wilma was born on July 9, 1930 to her parents the late Thomas E. Adkins and Barbara Alice Adkins. She was the owner of Adkins Grocery and a member of the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by two brothers, Garnie Dean Adkins and Gary Dean Adkins, and one sister, Roma Birchfield. Wilma is survived by three brothers, Claymon Adkins, Abram Adkins, Braffard Adkins, three sisters, Dallis Patrick, Rosemary Hill, Sandra Gail Justice, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at 11a.m. at the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery.
