Irene Marie Charles

Irene Marie Charles, age 90 of Pikeville passed away Friday February 21,2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Irene was born September 15,1923 to her parents, the late George A. Holliway and Sarrah Smith Holliway. Irene was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith. Along with her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband Carmel Charles and one son George Charles. Irene is survived by three sons Jimmy (Linda) Charles, Robert (Connie) Charles, Dean Charles and three daughters, Betty (Roger) Staton, Jean (Jerry) Adkins, Joyce (Blake) Ratliff, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends who love her and will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Saturday February 22,2014 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Monday February 24,2014 1p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Justice Kinder cemetery. There will be nightly services at 7 p.m.
