Alton Crockett

Alton Crockett, age 73, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Alton was born on Feb. 24, 1941 to his parents the late Oda Crockett and Ada Davis Crockett. He was the husband of Alma Gilpin Crockett, retired from General Electric, and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Alton was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Gilbert, and Hubert Crockett, and three sisters, Marilyn and Madelyn Crockett, and Vina Shirley. Along with his wife, Alton is survived by one son, Alton David Crockett, one daughter, Paula (Michael) Elswick, one sister, Mildred Shell, three granddaughters, Charlissa, Jessica, and Elizabeth Crockett, and one grandson, Gabriel Elswick, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at 11a.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Chappell Cemetery in Adair County, Ky.
