Charles Birchfield

Charles Birchfield, age 83, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Michigan.  Charles was born on May 12, 1930 to his parents the late Alec Birchfield and Louisa Caudill Birchfield.  He was the husband of the late Roma Birchfield, a coal miner, and a believer of the Baptist Faith.     Along with his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.     Charles is survived by two sons, Dave (Carolyn) Birchfield, Arnold (Deborah) Birchfield, one daughter, Regina Bentley, seven grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.     Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
