Ella Smallwood

Ella Price Smallwood, age 90, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Ella was born on Dec. 25, 1923 to her parents the late John Bentley and Eliza Helton Bentley.  She was the wife of the late Estil Price, a homemaker, and a member of the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church.     Along with her husband and parents, Ella was preceded in death by one son, James Price, four brothers, Leon, Thomas, Cleo, and Johnny Bentley, three sisters, Stella May, Nellie Adkins, and Mary Ann Bentley.     Ella is survived by six sons, Don (Shelia) Price, Harold Price, Dean (Betty) Price, Jackie (Emma) Price, Blake (Tammy) Price, David (Dee) Price, two daughters, Judy Patridge, Madelyn Price, one sister, Della Coleman, twenty three grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.     Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Sunday and Monday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Tuesday at 11a.m. at Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist with Jimmy Dale Sanders, Stacy Hopkins, Dewey Ratliff and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Adkins & Bentley Cemetery at Rockhouse.
