Velma Loraine Kinney

Velma Loraine Kinney, age 71, of Shelbiana, Ky, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at her residence.  She was born on February 8, 1943, the daughter of the late Ruey and Bertha Thacker.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Eugene Thacker.Velma is survived by her husband, Arkie Kinney, by two daughters, Connie (Jimmy) Adkins and Laura (Barry) Young, by four brothers, Jerry Marr Thacker, Lawson Thacker, Howard Thacker, and Lonnie Thacker, and by two grandchildren, Savannah (Anthony) Denning and Rusty Young.Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.Special services will be held on Sunday night at 7 p.m.
