Fred Damron

Fred Damron, age 72, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Fred was born on July 2, 1941 to his parents the late Rob Damron and Hattie Kiser Damron Bowling. He was the husband of Helen "Cookie" Damron, a retired coal miner for Bethlehem Coal Company, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his son, Jay Lee Damron. In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by one brother, Robert Damron, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
