Lawrence Hill

Lawrence Hill, age 75, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his home. Lawrence was born on March 16, 1939 to his parents th elate Belmer Hill and Mary Adkins Hill. Lawrence was the husband of Rosemary Adkins Hill, a retired coal miner for Island Creek Coal Company, and a member of the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence Hill, two sisters, Autheda Lambert and Beulah Faye Hill, one brother, Luke Hill. In addition to his wife, Lawrence is survived by four daughters, Libby (Jeffery) Gillespie, Regina Bentley, Beverly Chaney, Wilma Adams, two brothers, Larry Hill, Densil Hill, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
