Johnny Shumate

Johnny Shumate, age 67, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at his home. Johnny was born on Feb. 18, 1947 to his parents the late Herman Ford Shumate and Hazel Louise Rowe Shumate. Johnny was the husband of Fonda Lyn Johnson Shumate, an electrician and an entrpenuer and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his wife, Johnny is survived by one son, Johnny Dewayne (Krista) Shumate, one daughter, Michelle Lynn Shumate, one brother, Ford Shumate Jr., one sister, Janice Shumate DeHart, two grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Shumate, Sarah McKenzie Shumate, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
