Evalyn B. West

Evalyn B. West age 95, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her home. Evalyn was born on July 8, 1918 to her parents the late Richard Bowersock and Lydia Thacker Bowersock. She was the wife of the late Fonso West, a retired school teacher for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Sutton Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Evalyn was preceded in death by three sisters, Opal Robinson, Mary Doris Gillispie, and Jean Robinson. Evalyn is survived by one brother, James Carl Bowersock, one sister, Jetann Robinson, a host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Sutton Baptist Church with Scott Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
