Margaret Walker

Margaret Emigene "Granny" Walker age 78, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at her home. Margaret was born on Sept. 27, 1935 to her parents the late William Martin and Almedia Bartley Martin. She was the wife of the late Andrew Franklin Walker Jr., a homemaker and quilter and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by one sister, Baby Martin, and one grandson, Franklin Elliott Lowe. Margaret is survived by one daughter, Debra Lowe, two sons, James Lee (Tamela) Walker, Patrick Linn (Peggy) Walker, two brothers, Farrell Martin, Wayne (Pat) Martin, three sisters, O. Evangeline Shinn, Gwyndolin Coleman, Ivolene Joyce McDaniels, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday June 7, 2014 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Mike Sanders and Sam Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in the Willard Bartley Cemetery at Penny Road.
