Betty Jean Belcher

Betty Jean Belcher, age 67, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at her home. Betty was born on January 31, 1947 to her parents the late Otis Burke and Nellie Akers Burke. She was the wife of the late Chester Belcher, a homemaker, and a member of the Old Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Joe Burke, and two sisters, Pauline and Geraldine. Betty is survived by one daughter, Norma (Mitchell) Goodson, two sons, Johnny (Lisa) Belcher, Willie (Teresa) Belcher, two sisters, Patricia Adkins, Sue Charles, four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, one great grandchild, three step great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Old Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, July 4, 2014 at 12 noon at the Old Elkhorn Regular Baptist Church with Charles Nitchie and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Chester Belcher Cemetery at Blaze Branch of Dorton, Ky.
