Ellen Newsome

Ellen Hall Newsome, age 90 of Virgie, Ky. passed away Wednesday August 6,2014 at her residence. Ellen was born in Knott County Ky. to her parents the late Sam Hall and Bertha Hall. Ellen was a devoted housewife and a loving mother, and was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her parents Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Rollen Newsome, one Grandson, Stevie Lin Milam, and one Great-Grandson Stevie Joe Milam. Ellen is survived by her children, Carol Justine Milam of Means,Ky., Aldine Phillips of Virgie, Ky. Hestaline Rose Reynolds of Pikeville, Ky. Rollen Eugene Newsome of Greenup,KY., three sisters, Edna Ellis, Mildred Hall, Julia Bryant and one brother, Ralph Hall, Ten Grandchildren, TwentyFive GreatGrandchildren, Ten Great-Great Grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who love her and will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Thursday 6 p.m. at the Lucas&Son Funeral Home, Funeral will be Saturday 11 a.m. at the Lucas&Son Funeral Home, Special Services will be Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. Burial will follow in the Amos Newsome Cemetery.
