Kerry Lee Newsome

Kerry Lee Newsome, age 66, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Kerry was born on Nov. 2, 1947 to his parents the alte William Monroe Newsome and Callie Burke Newsome. He was the husband of Linda Stiltner Newsome, a retired blaster on road construction, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Kerry was preceded in death by two brothers, Carson and Tracy Newsome, three sisters, JoNell, Marcie, and Lana. In addition to his wife, Kerry is survived by three sons, Curtis Allen Newsome, Kerry Lee Newsome Jr., Karson Newsome, two daughters, Karina Collins, Karen Newsome, one brother, Terry Newsome, three sisters, June Arthur, Judith Johnson, Jennifer Evans, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11a.m. at the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church with Daryl Newsom and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Family Cemetery at Three Mile.
